Community benefits:

The Glen Massey wind farm will accelerate decarbonization and combat climate change with new green energy, helping New Zealand to meet its climate goals. Wind energy is the lowest cost form of renewable generation and has the least embedded carbon. Glen Massey will also create local skilled employment and increase electricity supply in the Waikato region.
