Mamaku Wind Farm

Mamaku is a greenfield utility-scale onshore wind generation project in two phases. Phase I will produce approximately 546,000 MWh of renewable electricity each year.

The wind farm is located within pastoral farmland south of Mamaku township.

Community benefits:

The Mamaku wind farm will accelerate decarbonization and combat climate change with new green energy, helping New Zealand to meet its climate goals. Wind energy is the lowest cost form of renewable generation and has the least embedded carbon. Mamaku will create local skilled employment and increase electricity supply in the Waikato and Bay of Plenty regions.
