Auckland City Link

Launched in April 2021, Auckland’s CityLINK electric bus fleet glides through the streets quietly and smoothly to enhance the passenger experience. CityLINK buses carry more than 1.6 million customers each year. Auckland Transport estimates the 12 buses will reduce 686 tCO2e of Green House Gas (GHG) emissions a year.

Auckland and Wellington extra large buses

More than 85 CRRC built three-axle Xtra large urban buses are moving passengers safely and quietly to where they need to go in Auckland and Wellington.  These buses can run 18 hour shifts without charging and don’t reqire heavy permits.

Wellington Double Deck

Ten double-deck electric buses Ten double deck electric buses built by CRRC and Kiwi Bus Builders (Tauranga) have been operated by Transurban on the arterial Island Bay to Johnsonville route since 2018.
